1. Identify the exact product
Record the complete product name, dosage form, bottle size and strength. Do not rely on a category label such as “CBD oil” or “Vijaya oil.”
Check whether the page clearly states:
- Active ingredients and quantities.
- Amount per millilitre or serving.
- Carrier ingredients.
- Total volume.
- Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum or isolate status, if claimed.
- Directions and maximum use.
If the information is unclear, ask before ordering.
2. Match the manufacturer and licence
Find the legal name and address of the manufacturer on the label or product information. Then compare it with the licence documentation.
Confirm:
- Licence holder.
- Licence number.
- Manufacturing premises.
- Product or dosage-form coverage.
- Validity and conditions where shown.
A brand, seller and manufacturer may be different entities. One entity’s licence should not be presented as though every party holds it.
3. Understand the prescription pathway
The seller should explain whether the exact formulation requires a prescription or professional review. Be cautious if the website makes a universal “no prescription” claim.
A responsible process can:
- Request the relevant prescription when required.
- Match the prescription with the customer and product.
- Check legibility, date and prescriber details.
- Ask for clarification.
